Alejandra Ríos Pérez doesn’t go to the Sierra Madre Oriental to study. She goes to work alongside rural and Indigenous women, collaborating and organizing for years. Now she returns to reckon with what this work produces and how to sustain it. What she finds strengthens her identity, her sense of belonging, and her understanding of what it means to lead as a woman. Nothing is the same, including her.
